Alright friends. Get ready for an emotional rollercoaster with this book. Abbi Glines has done it again. She has managed to write an incredible story and while the quality of writing and length did not seem on par with some of her other novels, this book still managed to shine.

I was prepared for an emotional book about loss and healing and re-connecting with lost loves. What I was not prepared for was a rollercoaster of emotional hell. This book rung me out and I can honestly say I cried. A lot.

I debated how many stars to give this novel. I wanted it to be longer and I felt like some parts of it were stiff and rushed. I think there definitely could have been more of a build between Creed and Sailor. It kinda felt like they picked up right where they left off. I wanted them to deal with their past more and confront the future better. Creed walked back into Sailor’s life like he hadn’t just ditched her for six years after Cora’s death. I don’t know. I wanted more to happen between them. It almost felt like the passion was missing in Abbi’s voice when she was writing this. Like she wrote it because she had to write another book, but she wasn’t in love with these characters and this story. I wanted so desperately to fall in love with them and on some level I did, but there is still so much I don’t know about Creed and Sailor.

The story was great and I loved the plot-line and the concept behind it. I just wanted there to be more too it. This feels like a first or second draft and like there should be a third. The characters felt under-developed and I couldn't always hear a difference in their voices. Their stories were rushed rather than spending the time to get to know them and fall in love with them. All this information was just dumped into 185 pages. It was not captivating at all.

I love Abbi Glines as an author. Her other books are great, fun reads that take you someplace else for a while. About Tomorrow just did not do the same. I wish she had spent more time editing this book because I wanted to love it more than I did, yet I still loved it.

Overall, this is still worth the read. It’s fast and easy to get through and will wreck your emotions. Just be prepared for knee-deep waters rather than full-depth.
